Idea Alchemist is a creative studio and AI consultancy operated by Monique Mayers, based in Canada. We help entrepreneurs, creatives, and businesses turn ideas into reality through strategic consulting, technology integration, and publishing.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit ideaalchemist.com, interact with our tools (including the /mind/ interactive tool), or engage with our services. We use a variety of AI and LLM-powered tools in our work — including but not limited to tools developed by Anthropic, OpenAI, and other AI providers. The specific tools we use may change over time as technology evolves and we adopt new solutions best suited to our clients' needs.

- Information you share with us during consultations, through intake forms, or within our client portal may be processed using AI tools to assist with analysis, content creation, and strategy development
- Inputs submitted through interactive tools on this site (such as the /mind/ tool) may be processed by AI systems to generate responses or personalized outputs
- AI tools may be used to assist in drafting communications, summaries, or documents related to your project
How we protect you:
- We do not submit personally identifiable information to AI tools beyond what is necessary for the specific task
- We do not use your information to train third-party AI models where we have the ability to opt out of such use

- Client information shared in the portal is treated as confidential and not used for AI experimentation without your knowledge

International data transfers
Idea Alchemist is based in Canada. Our service providers, including AI tools and cloud platforms, may store or process data in other jurisdictions including the United States and European Union member states.
When your information is transferred outside of Canada, we take steps to ensure it receives comparable protection to that provided under PIPEDA. For users in the European Economic Area, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms where required.

Data retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Specifically:
- Contact form inquiries: retained for up to 2 years
- Client records and engagement documentation: retained for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes
- Email subscribers: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
- Analytics data: retained per the data retention settings of our analytics provider (typically 14–26 months)
When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

Note: Our children's book titles (published through ChocoLit Press™) are literary products. The purchase and information flow on this site is handled through adult customers only.
