Yes, that includes downloading freebies and watching webinars all day long!
The fact of the matter is that if you’re in the room with the greatest of all time and you ask a question, you will get a “good” answer – something succinct that sums up hours of mastery, years of learning in a single sound-byte.
That advice might get you thinking but it won’t make you into an instant success.
The truth is – advice without the context of the big picture is generally useless. Without any understanding of the strategy to back the advice, you’re just doing blind work without the nuances that lead to real results.
Ask a Serena her advice for improving your serve and she might say –
1. Develop a Pre-Serve Routine
2. Aim For A Consistent Ball Toss
3. Perfect Your Form
4. Add Power
5. Go For The Ace
But she doesn’t have time to detail how she angles her racket, the way the grip feels in her hand when it’s properly positioned, which muscles she contracts and when in the motion you relax into the serve. These are the details she’s learned over time – they have come from the experience of doing the 5 things she mentions in her advice… but if you don’t pay attention to that, you won’t ever be able to deliver a powerful serve.
The point is – there is so much more to it than the surface. It’s the same with business advice.
You don’t become independently wealthy by chance. There is a process. While the execution might vary from person to person/ industry to industry… you need to take the time to invest in the relationship that will help you carve the path to your success.
At the end of the day – if you’re interested in going beyond the surface and into the realm of meaningful (measurable) transformation in your business, hire someone.
I’m not saying hire me, I am saying invest in your ideas and believe enough in yourself to make that commitment to get REAL support. Stop trying to get free advice, downloading PDFs and watching webinars all day every day.
You’re chasing your tail.
6 months from now you’ll look back and realize that you’ve been busy making no money.
You don’t need a “secret”, what you need is a well thought out, carefully executed plan from someone who cares more about your success than your money.
From someone who isn’t so focused on posting their “income reports” and showing off their new car purchases that they forget to deliver the results…
